Matthew and Lynn have been on many play dates. Play dates with Cohen, Ella, Shepherd, and countless others. However, there has not been a play date with daddy yet. So Matthew decided to call up Savannah Rollo to see if she was available. After getting permission from her father, Savannah accepted and she had a gentleman caller. We drove to Brandon after getting off work. Matthew was very excited to spend time with daddy. We arrived with Savannah half asleep. Matthew didn't want any of it. He gently tapped her feet to wake her up. She was all smiles and giggles.
Sean and I talked about what has been going on in our lives while Matthew played with Savannah on the floor. Matthew liked Savannah, but Karma grabbed Matthew's attention. At one point, Matthew even called Karma, "Maggie."
Sean was nice enough to cook up some chicken sandwiches. He buys a healthier type of chicken, instead of using the publix brand. But that chicken was juicy and delicious. He is getting back into shape like I am, but at a faster rate.
Overall, it was a great day. Towards the end, Michelle arrived from work. She was able to see Matthew once again. Matthew laughed and laughed with her. Michelle is a natural with kids.
Sean and I have grown up a lot since we first met. Before kids, we would have just drank some tequila, put in halo, and beat up on some newbs online. Present day, we get to spend quality time with our babies, taking in all the memories.
